I had a really nice 28th Birthday this year, thanks to all my friends who made it last almost a week! It started the weekend before, for a dual celebration for my mom and I who have very close birthdays.
Then on my actual birthday we celebrated at work with CUPCAKES and a very nice lunch at Slurping Turtle the next day :) We celebrated one more time at Barrelhouse Flat and it was great that everyone could come out on a Thursday!
Thanks again for making my day a special one!
We packed up and headed out with my parents' dog Rudy two weekends ago. Stopping first in Indiana at the dunes, and then on to the Michigan Dunes. Danny planned the whole thing, and it was amazing. We stayed at the Lakeside Inn right across the street from the beach, which Rudy LOVED. Since it's the off season, we were able to let him run around free and he wore himself out.
With almost no agenda, besides roam around the area, we saw a few quaint towns and enjoyed the nice empty beaches. Sawyer is where we stopped in for a late lunch at the Greenbush Brewery, and ended up taking a growler home with us. I hope we go back again soon, especially to Three Oaks, which was our favorite small town. A very cute downtown with an awesome new restaurant / distillery, Journeyman Distillery.

Yes, that's 4 parties in one. :)
Debbie, Clayt, Danny and I threw an Engagement Party for Cerena and Greg a couple weekends ago. The evening was progressive with 4 main events, which were all a surprise to Cerena, Greg and all of their guests.
(1) Cocktail Hour in the Carriage House
(2) Craft Distilled Rum and Tequilla Tasting
(3) Dinner and Dancing in the Motorcycle Garage
(4) Chocolate Cake and Fondue in my parents' Wine Cellar
Yes, it was an ambitious line-up, and it went very smoothly!! Serving 35 people a sit down meal is always difficult, especially in a garage.... but it was still so much fun! I wish we could do it all again next weekend :)
THANK YOU so much to everyone who helped not only with the party set up, but also during the party to make sure everything ran smoothly:) Couldn't have done it without you.
These boys are crazy!
Greg and his friends had decided to participate in the Men's Health Urbanathelon this year. Somehow Danny was magically signed up to race as well!! (Thanks Greg:)
He had a lot of fun doing it, and the girls had fun watching them climb over taxis and crawl under baracades. Haha! we especially loved watching them try to climb over a 10' wall!
