I especially love wood-burning stove pizza parties! Sunday evening was spent with some people from Danny's office at Larry's home in Oak Park, where he is building a (mostly completed) pizza oven in his back yard. He invited us over for a try and it did not disappoint! The first thing we saw, walking up to the backyard was a table FULL of fresh ingredients ready to be used as toppings of a lot of pizzas. The three white tupperware containers at the far end of the table were filled with kneaded, ready to go pizza dough... probably 40 of them!
Danny did a suprisingly good job at making a pizza for us. We ended up trying a little bit of everyone's and frankly, I think it's almost impossible to mess a pizza up in the wood burning oven :) Still, we chose our ingredients carefully and enjoyed every last bite. It's always fun to see people from work outside of the office, especially when they bring their adorable 3, 5 and 8 year olds! We had a lot of fun, and can't wait to try it out again!!
