Wedding Celebration - October 4th, 2014 Plainfield, Illinois
We can't wait to celebrate with you in my hometown of Plainfield! We have been working hard to get things ready for an amazing party! The party will get started around 6pm, on Saturday October 4th. We are excited to be serving a delicious Baby Back Blues whole hog, with other casual sides and a salad. There should be plenty of parking in the adjacent lots. The entrance to the party is on the south side of the building. Bring your dancing shoes! We will be enjoying the Bluewater Kings Band, in all of their 7-piece band glory!
We hope this will be a fun, laid-back party to see new and old friends in celebration of our recent nuptials, and our long journey back home from Portugal! Can't wait to see you all!

If you are traveling from out of town, you may prefer to stay in Chicago to do and see other things over the weekend. We have identified a couple hotels downtown, and have reserved a block of rooms under OLSEN/WICKE. Please keep in mind, it takes about 50 minutes to drive from Chicago to Plainfield, depending on the traffic, and a taxi back to the city may cost around $70!! With that being said, it would be a real shame for you to miss out on the amazing city while you're in town! Please let me know how I can help coordinate any logistics.

This is one of our favorite hotels in Chicago! The rooms are trendy and simple, and the hotel in general has such great style and class. The historically recognized Pump Room has recently been remodeled, and it is amazing! Also, the Library on the first level is a very comfortable bar/lounge with delicious fancy drinks. Located in the beautiful Gold Coast neighborhood, the hotel offers complimentary bikes for guests to borrow to explore the neighborhood and along the lakefront.

This hotel is located right in the heart of the city, along the Chicago River. It is very near the Theatre District, shopping on Michigan Avenue, State Street and restaurants scattered everywhere! There is so much to see and do in this area - you could rent a DIVY bike for a day to get around from spot to spot!
